- Abstract
The article focuses on the criticism of the studies about bruxism as repetitive jaw muscle activity. According to the authors bruxism characterised by clenching or grinding of the teeth and/or by bracing or thrusting of the mandible. Topics include genetics of bruxism, method that was used to establish the presence of bruxism such as polysomnography, electroencephalography, electrocardiography, and electromyography, and argumentation against the application of self-report for the assessment of bruxism.
