- Abstract
The article presents the collaboration between Hawaii's Family Court and Child Protective Services in planning processes for the safety of children. It stresses the importance of a blended model evolving from the 'Ohana conferencing on the roles of family and professionals in protecting children. It details the similarities and differences between ‘Ohana Conferencing and mediation, case conferences, and their influences on the relations among court, family, and professionals.
