- Abstract
This article discusses the use of electronic resources (e-resources) and online scholarly communication portals through consortia such as the Universal Grants Commission-Infonet (UGC-Infonet) at Aligarh Muslim University. Topics include the history and formation of library consortia in India, the necessity of library orientation and bibliographic instruction sessions to familiarize users with accessing electronic journals (e-journals) through the consortium, and the impact that irregularity of power sources and power failures had on use rates.
