- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the population status of leatherback nests in Florida. The study uses a multilevel Poisson regression to know the rate of growth for leatherback turtle nest numbers and to recognize the hierarchical structure of the data while integrating variables related to survey report. Results show that marine food web dynamics and climate variability which could improve productivity and decrease predators may served as the driving factors of the said trend.
