- Abstract
The article reports the rosacea being a common chronic inflammatory skin disease that affects the central facial skin in a symmetrical pattern. Topics include granulomatous rosacea (GR) being the only variant of rosacea characterized by its unique histopathological findings; and exposure of skin to ultraviolet radiation (UVR) upregulates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), mast cell, and transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1 (TRPV1) expression.
