- Title
The benefits and challenges of online player tracking.
- Authors
Delfabbro, Paul
- Abstract
The author comments on an article by P. Newall and T. Swanton on the role of player tracking in understanding and reducing gambling-related harm. He discusses the challenges in a single-customer view in which the access point for all gambling might be an independent organisation that offers monitoring and aggregate safer gambling functionality, how to determine the appropriate levels of expenditure, and the need to look for genuine indicators of harm rather than focus on static gambling limits.
