- Abstract
The article offers information on the most effective treatments for bulimia nervosa. Based on multiple randomized-controlled trials, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is considered as the most efficient treatment for such disease. Bulimia nervosa is defined as a common eating disorder with symptoms of uncontrolled binge eating and self-induced vomiting. It attributes the cause of most eating disorders to distorted body images and unrealistic cultural icons.
