- Abstract
The study presents the struggle for the creation Vlacho-Bulgarian state (1185), its evolution in the context of the 3rd Crusade and the attempt of Ioanitza, the third Vlachian monarch of this state to obtain from the Holly See the imperial crown. The author demonstrates that this imperial attempt was motivated by the vivid roman imperial tradition among the Vlachians. Secondary the study argue that the origin of the name "domn/domnul" of the Romanian sovereign prince in middle ages become from the "domnus", the emperor name in the Carolingian Empire.
