THREE LESSONS FROM ACTA AND ITS POLITICAL AFTERMATH.
- Authors
Weatherall, Kimberlee
- Abstract
The article discusses the multi-national Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) on the internationalization of intellectual property enforcement measures, and it also provides an analysis of the political aspects of the treaty as of September 2012. It states that opposition from the public to ACTA has forced the treaty's political negotiating parties to reconsider ratifying the treaty. The European Parliament's Rapporteur for ACTA, Kader Arif, is also mentioned.
