A liberal manifesto for the liberal democrats.

- Abstract
It is an irony of modern British politics that the political party whose name includes the word 'liberal' is more recognizably a social democratic than a liberal party. This article delves into the economic liberalism issue among the Liberal Party in Great Britain. The Liberal Democrats have never had more need for a distinct philosophical identity than what they have today. One important element in the philosophical identity of the political parties are their manifesto. For further improvement of the political operations of the Liberal Democrats, the author of this article suggested proposals that could form the basis of the liberal manifesto. The proposal is focused on the several sectors of the British society that needs attention, such as: Economic policy; health; education; local government finance; and immigration. For many Liberal Democrats, economic liberalism will forever be associated with the policies of the Thatcher government that they so vehemently oppose.
