- Abstract
This article is an editorial discussing the importance of early detection and combination therapy for diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). The lack of a satisfactory treatment for DPN can be attributed to factors such as a poor understanding of its causes, the lack of pursuit of combination therapies, and the inability to diagnose DPN in its early stages. The article highlights three studies that address means of early detection of peripheral neuropathy and the potential for combination therapies. It also emphasizes the challenges faced by researchers and physicians in finding a treatment for DPN and the need for further work in this area.
