- Abstract
The article "Best Practice: Violence Protection in the Face of COVID-19" deals with measures to protect women from violence during the COVID-19 pandemic. Various good practice examples are presented, such as increasing the capacity of women's shelters, strengthening helplines, and using apps to contact the police. Task forces have been established and special budgets have been provided for violence prevention. NGOs and civil society actors have also taken measures to combat violence against women and support victims. It is important to consider the different vulnerable groups of women and introduce social policy interventions to combat structural disadvantages. It is also important to examine the impact of the pandemic on violence against women and develop corresponding policies.
