- Abstract
1% solution of Carmellose sodium and carboxy-methyl-cellulose (CMC) sodium and 2.5% solution of powered plant Xanthium strumaricumwere preserved at room temperature as well as in refrigeration temperature and their keeping qualities were compared. Solutions of Carmellose and CMC sodium remained stable with +1 viscosity for two weeks at room temperature. No adverse tissue reactions was observed when given intra-uterine, hence both are recommended for uterine lubrication for handling dystocia. The plant solution also maintained similar viscosity at room temperature, it was recommended for rectal examination or external use since tissue reaction after uterine infusion was not tested.
