- Abstract
The article focuses on the therapeutic uses of oral history in hospices. Oral history interviews in hospices serve as counseling sessions for patients. Interviews in hospice are different from the traditional oral history work in terms of the reason for the interview, selection of interviewees and editing of transcripts. The similarities between life story interviewing and oral history interview are also mentioned. The ethical considerations in conducting life story interviews are cited.
