The article presents an overview of Indian beadwork on animal fur that was created by members of the Montagnais and Naskapi tribes of eastern Canada and the Tlingit tribe of Alaska. A discussion of the rarity of this type of beadwork and of little knowledge about it which is seen among Indian artifact collectors is presented.
