- Abstract
The article discusses the prognostic relevance of comorbidity in salivary gland cancer patients. A multivariate analysis was conducted on a retrospective cohort of 666 patients with salivary gland cancer. The Adult Comorbidity Evaluation-27 (ACE-27) was found to be a strong independent prognostic variable, showing that 394 patients had 0 comorbidity, 119 patients had grade 1 comorbidity, 71 patients had grade 2 comorbidity and 21 patients had grade 3 comorbidity.
