The article discusses explanation for the price puzzle using a New Keynesian model and structural vector aggressions (VARs). Results reveal that the price puzzle is an artificial result that emerges from predicted inflation being eliminated from the VAR. Results also show that the behavior of private sector expectations result in perverse dynamics when the policy framework does not demand ample response to inflation.
