The article discusses a study on the potential of Marmosa robinsoni opossums in dental research. The Marmosa robinsoni is commonly called a mouse opossum. These animals can be bred in similar environments to rats. Young mouse opossums are much easier to study than young rats because they are born much earlier than rats, and hang from the nipples of their mother, making them easier to study without causing disturbances.
