- Abstract
A study published in the journal Laryngoscope discusses the use of a combined transnasal, transoral approach for the removal of odontogenic cysts. The study found that this approach resulted in reduced recurrence rates and favorable sinonasal outcomes compared to traditional transoral-only approaches. The study included a retrospective review of patients who underwent the combined approach and collected data on demographic information, clinical history, and sinonasal outcomes. The results showed a low recurrence rate and improvement in sinonasal symptoms. The study recommends considering this approach for the management of odontogenic cysts involving the maxillary sinus.
