- Authors
Archer, Simon
- Abstract
The article discusses a court case wherein a widow is claiming damages from her husband's former employer for negligent misrepresentation of retirement pension. The employer Casco Inc. and the plan administrator failed to provide adequate information to the plan member and his spouse about the retirement pension form which resulted to losses by the member's spouse after his death. The Ontario Superior Court of Justice ruled in 2008 that Casco Inc. is liable for damages inflicted to the complainant.
