- Abstract
The article presents a study that analyzes a broad range of preexisting RNA expression microarray data from human trachea and small and large airway epithelium (SAE/LAE). It mentions that the physiological role of Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) is the regulation of the reninangiotensin hormone system, regulating blood volume, systemic vascular resistance, and cardiovascular homeostasis. It mentions that smoking was considered a risk factor for COVID-19 virus.
