- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 82-year-old woman admitted to the intensive care unit for cardiogenic shock, along with information that ultrasonography revealed the presence of gas in the left side of the liver. It discusses the diagnosis of hepatic venous gas, along with visualization of the rhythmic movement of gas help to distinguish hepatic venous gas from potentially severe differential diagnoses of air in the liver.
