- Title
NEPENTHES ATTENBOROUGHII: A NEW SPECIES OF GIANT PITCHER PLANT FROM THE PHILIPPINES.
- Abstract
The author relates their discovery of a new species of giant pitcher plant called Nepenthes attenboroughii on Mount Victoria in the island of Palawan in the Philippines in June 2007. The pitcher plants that he discovered on the mountain with Nepenthes experts Alastair Robinson and Volker Heinrich feature a yellowish green lower trap. He notes that they decided to name the species after naturalist Sir David Attenborough.
