- Abstract
2 Gersten J, Hsieh J, Weiss H. Effect of extended 30 g ethinyl estradiol with continuous low-dose ethinyl estradiol and cyclic 20 g ethinyl estradiol oral contraception on adolescent bone density: a randomized trial. As with the lower doses of estrogen in menopausal hormone therapy, CHC suppress bone resorption and therefore prevent the necessary bone growth that adolescents require to reach peak bone mineral density.
