- Abstract
The article reports on the increase of students who are enrolling family medicine in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) in 2016. The increase of students is claimed to be not enought to meet the demand and the shortage of primary care physicians in the U.S. which will continue to surge until 2035. Family physicians are noted to be most highly recruited role in the country's health care system.
