- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book “The Counter-Revolution of 1776: Slave Resistance and the Origins of the United States of America" by Gerald Horne is presented. The defense of slavery especially by the southern colonial ruling class and its role in the creation of the independent U.S. is also highlighted.
