- Abstract
The article focuses on the magnetic behavior of W-type hexagonal ferrites with the chemical composition. W-type ferrites possess 20% higher saturation magnetization as compared to M type hard ferrites. However, in W-type ferrites two more spinel compositions are incorporated in M-type due to which there is possibility of adding various spinel compositions. Powders obtained from sintered pellets have been characterized by X-ray diffraction. X-ray diffraction studies carried out on the puffy powders obtained from sol-gel route after decomposition indicated that the formations are strongly magnetic in nature.
