Abstract
The article discusses Ocean Imaging Corp.'s (OI) aerial mapping of the distributions, thickness patterns and weathering state of oil spill. A brief history of the company and some of its notable projects are discussed. The company owns and operates technologies that provide both multispectral visible/near-infrared (IR) and thermal IR imagery. An overview of OI's near-real-time oil spill mapping capabilities utilizing multiple imaging sensors flow aboard aircraft is given.
