- Abstract
Objective: to analyze the situations of family violence against children identified by the professionals of the Family Health Units. Method: a descriptive and exploratory study, with qualitative approach conducted with 25 professionals from three Family Health Teams of Jequié/BA. The data were produced through semi-structured interviews and analyzed by the speech analysis technique. Results: speeches revealed that children experience physical and psychological violence and parental neglect, arising from socioeconomic and psychocultural vulnerability context. Conclusion: it emphasizes the need for training health staff to deal with violence against children through sectorial coordination.
