- Abstract
Over the years, the prices of electricity consumption have steadily increased. For this reason, consumers are looking for new solutions to significantly reduce the costs incurred on this account. The use of renewable energy sources, especially sunlight, is becoming quite popular. The aim of the article is to present the impact of a photovoltaic micro-installation on the prosumer's budget. The analysis covers the costs incurred for the construction of the investment and the revenues obtained from long-term use of the installation. Based on the available data from a private photovoltaic farm, the article presents a financial perspective for a period of 25 years, including electricity produced, operating costs and income generated for the household. Based on the profitability analysis of the project, it was confirmed that the investment in photovoltaic cells will start to bring financial benefits after a few years. In addition, the research undertaken has shown that investing money in creating your own solar farm is a profitable and future-oriented venture, especially when further electricity increases are planned.
