- Abstract
The arthroscopical operations of the knee are one of the most frequent operational interventions of the lower limb, they are more preferred, because of the invasive surgery and the short time of recovery. The rehabilitation starts from the second postoperative day with gradual stress, strictly considered with the individuality of the patient. As a main goal is the functional recovery of the limb. This can be achieved via a complex program of activities such as: cryotherapy, apparatus physiotherapy , suspension therapy, kinesiotherapy stretching, manual mobilizations of the patella , instruction of usage of aids. The early rehabilitation is important for the fast and qualitative recovery, the proper function of the limb and quality of life of the patient. The right selection of kinesiotherapy within that period, which is conducted via surveillance by the therapist and the motivation of the patient are important for the recovery. We have monitored patients with knee problems in earlier period of time after hospitalization, which were complex treated with kinesiotherapy and physical therapy. The amount of patients which consists men and women with traumatic and combined damages situated on different parts of the knee of age between 18 and 65. We have grouped the patients on the basis of the main pathology. We evaluated the quality of life in late period of time, after six months with a short questionnaire about the quality of life which contains 8 questions with information about the different areas of life. We've received results from the objective and subjective indicators of people's perception of life in the eighth directions: physical possibilities, limiting activity as a result of the physical state, general sense of health, general sense of pain, vitality, social activity and limiting activity as a result of the emotional state. The results of the follow-up showed a clear improvement in physical fitness and a limitation of physical activity. The indicators of general sense of health and vitality have also shown significant improvement. This, in addition to the other results which we received in the processing of the information, we conclude that early properly conducted rehabilitation is of the utmost importance for the proper functioning and quality of life for the patients.
