- Abstract
The article discusses the author's views about the construction and deconstruction of a private-law perspective on the principle of subsidiarity which deals with transnational law and globalization. Public international law and global regulatory orders are examined, along with questions about political representation, participation, and accountability. Government legitimacy and the interests of international lawyers in the U.S. and Europe are assessed.
