- Abstract
The French short story writer and novelist Anne Piette explains her decision to settle in Senegal, Africa, and devote her life to writing stories about the traditions, customs and beliefs of the Diola people, especially in the southern region, Casamance. This interview offers the perspective of the author on solidarity, sacred traditions, the condition of women, and knowledge of cultures and identity. Piette reveals why her writing is considered a heritage for the children of her adopted country.
