- Abstract
The article presents a study which analysed how the lack of in-person surgical experience and ward duties, among the most important components of a surgical clerkship, affected student interest in a career in surgery. Topics include the administration of questionnaires for students in the clerkship, results for the 124 students enrolled in the study, and changes in the results of response at the beginning and end of online and onsite clerkships.
