- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 27-week premature infant being admitted with hematemesis, decrease in oral intake and irritability. It talks about the infant being given ceftriaxone, phenobarbital and acyclovir for the treatment. It tells about the infant being diagnosed with LCHAD deficiency after which the infant was given a diet high in carbohydrates and chain triglycerides.
