- Abstract
The risk conditions derived from the COVID-19 pandemic have produced hostile work environments and stressors. The objective of this study was to analyze and compare the degree of burnout syndrome and psychological distress in two samples of 8 police officers during different periods of the COVID-19 pandemic. A non-experimental study was carried out, with a longitudinal trend cut and with exploratory, descriptive, and correlational scopes. The Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS) and the Kessler's Psychological Distress Scale (K-10) were used. In this regard, the high levels of burnout syndrome and psychological distress stand out; however, no significant difference was found in prevalence levels despite the conditions derived from the pandemic.
