- Title
Introduction of PIN Code into Library Operations of the Library of Šabac.
- Abstract
Contemporary library operations are characterized by continuous changes and constant growth of new demands to which librarians must adequately respond. All the benefits of the given way of work are clear, but in our case, reorganization and investment in scientific-educational and research systems as sources of electronic culture were necessary so that electronic operations can be successful. Use of PIN code through the BISIS library package was introduced into library operations of the Library of Šabac in May 2013. This was preceded by automation of work in this program and introduction of barcodes into the electronic library operations. Use of PIN code enables cessation of use of users' card files but retains the same level of security and obligation as it was when the library circulation was done in the traditional way with card files.
