The author reflects on the Israelization of East Jerusalem and discusses its impact on Palestinians who remained in Jerusalem. Topics discussed include ways in which policies in East Jerusalem include Palestinians child arrests and Israeli law; child arrested by Israeli police in charge of stone throne throwing; planning practices, laws and regulations restricting Palestinians with permanent residency status; and role of education in preserve the Palestinian national and cultural identity.
