- Abstract
The article reports on the requirements from the British National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) for all National Health Service (NHS) and independent sector organizers to implement changes in equipment and methods used to measure and administer oral liquid medicines. It warns against the use of intravenous syringes to measure and administer oral liquid medicines. It informs that enteral feeding systems should not contain ports that can be connected to intravenous syringes.
