- Abstract
This section presents several health care-related issues that have caught the attention of the U.S. Congress. They include deceptive statements or activities by health care professionals that mislead patients about their level of training, which prompted the introduction of a bill in the House on May 13, 2010. Another has something to do with the practice of deception in marketing certain dietary supplements based on a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report. The need to offer treatment for veterans suffering from sexual trauma is also cited.
