- Abstract
By changing diesel engines structural feature, their power and performance increase can be provided. Injection timing is one of the important parameters which effects engine performance and exhaust emissions. As these test results are compared to original engine advance, it was seen that both fuel economy can be provided and harmful exhaust emissions can be reduced. In this work, single-cylinder direct injection in a diesel engine, the effect of static injection advance to engine performance and exhaust emissions was examined by experimentally. By the reason of the highest level of moment value was measured in 2800 in SEA and injection timing was 15, 19, 23, 27, 31° for CA in the different turnover, in this turnover 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% the engine moment in the position of gas pedal; effective power, specific fuel consumption, exhaust gas temperature and CO, HC and NOx emissions were measured. In this study, by reducing to 19° CA of injection advance, the increase of engine moment and effective power and the decrease of specific fuel consumption and emissions were seen. INSET: 11.
