- Abstract
Orf, a zoonosis transmitted from sheep and goat to human, is caused by Parapoxvirus. It is more common among occupational groups who are in close contact with animals. On the other hand after the feast of sacrifice or in spring and summer, it causes epidemic and threatens human health. It is mainly seen as papulonodular lesions on hands. Diagnosis is based on clinical findings, histological examination and viral DNA detection. However, it is usually diagnosed on the basis of exposure history and observation of characteristic lesions. Although it is rarely complicated, orf spontaneously recovers in general and does not require treatment. In this report, we presented three complicated orf cases demonstrating erythema multiforme, lymphangitis, and bullous pemphigoid.
