- Abstract
The article offers an insight on the history of feudalism in the middle ages in England and discusses the depiction of wardship system in early literature. An exposition on courtier Edward de Vere, conflicts of interest for wardship and illegal ownership of property in Middle ages of England is presented. It is commented that wardship was a major source of finance for the Elizabethan administration.
