The article presents the author's experiences as she traveled across 12 countries with the quest to interview leaders concerning leadership, their idea of a leader as well as their personal stories. She relates that she had interviewed very senior leaders in the international development world including senior civil society leaders, former Heads of State, and senior policy makers. She states that topics including act of leading, the particular role of leading and the philosophy of leadership are among of aspects of leadership talked about throughout the conversations and interviews.
