- Abstract
Aqueous Romanowsky stain, ×10 objective, inset ×20 objective gl B Cytologic interpretation: b Probable lipoma, although histopathology is needed to exclude lipoleiomyoma or fibrolipoma. In some reproductive neoplasms, such as sex cord stromal tumors or germ cell tumors, concurrent cyts are common in the contralateral ovary.1 Nonetheless, the ultrasonographic findings appear to be unrelated to the current neoplasm, since lipomas are not considered reproductive tumors. Our cytologic interpretation was probable lipoma; however, it was not possible to differentiate lipoma from lipoleiomyoma or fibrolipoma with certainty on cytology.
