- Title
Merv Turner.
- Abstract
An interview with Merck Research Laboratories senior vice president Merv Turner is presented. When asked about the major changes in healthcare provision, he says that his thinking revolves around three issues including health information technology and the high-technology end of the reforms being pushed by the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama. Turner adds that Merck favored constructive licenses because they share the risk with the biotechnology partner. He also discusses the impact of the current healthcare debate in the U.S.
