- Abstract
The article discusses the relationship between architecture and printed media involving the surrounding rural and farm buildings in Ontario in the late nineteenth-century. It states the creation of simple and affordable Gothic Revival houses including a small Gothic Cottage, Suburban Villa or Farm House and a Cheap Farm House. It also mentions the media's influence in the circulation of the houses' design in the country's rural landscape industry.
