- Title
THE 'GENETIC' ANALYSIS OF IBERIAN DOLMENS: A TEST OF THE IDEA IN THE CENTRAL PYRENEES.
- Authors
Belmonte, Juan Antonio; García, A. César González
- Abstract
The article discusses the geographic location and orientation of megalithic tombs, or dolmens, found on the Iberian Peninsula. Emphasis is given to the effectiveness of dendrograms and Principal Components Analysis in determining the relationship between the locations and orientations of clusters of tombs. The article focuses on the unmeasured dolmens from the Pyrenees Mountain region within the province of Huesca, Spain. It is concluded that fieldwork is more beneficial than the use of office software support tools in archaeoastronomical studies.
