- Abstract
In order to avoid morbidity from another anastomosis and taking into account the preoperative nutritional assessment and total alimentary limb length (alimentary limb plus common limb) of 450 cm, the surgical team decided to maintain the length of the biliopancreatic limb. The total bowel length was measured identifying a biliopancreatic limb of 250 cm and a common limb of 450 cm. Both limbs were sectioned next to the anastomosis and a suture was placed on each for reference.
