- Authors
Crowder, Patience A.
- Abstract
An essay is presented on the late African American law professor Derrick A. Bell Jr.'s interest convergence theory which deals with power dynamics, divergent interests between parties, and unequal bargaining power. Economic justice and equity are mentioned, along with Bell's analysis of the U.S. Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education which assesses racial segregation in America. U.S. regional poverty and Bell's Critical Race Theory are also examined.
